In Yangana we went in to a beautiful forest that was very intricate but once we got to the top the dwarf vegetation was beautiful. We went into the forest through a little river.
This one is in the forest, the ground is covered with bromeliads and roots of trees.

Our lunch, and by the way Jeff ate tuna fish from a can, he is becoming a biologist or at least he is acquiring our diet. One of our friends, Don Lucho, prepared the most strange sandwich I have seen so far, bread, banana, tuna and cheese.

Jeff is checking if we can pass. Ecuador is going through an incredible change, this government is rebuilding all the highways, I have lived to see this happening! There are still some "huecos" - Spanish for wholes, one of the first words that you need to know if you drive in Ecuador.
This is coming out of the second forest. Wish we could be doing this always.
